Archie Battersbee is a 12-year-old boy of Southend in Essex lost consciousness after an incident at his home on April 7 and his brain was damaged.

The boy’s mother said she saw him unconscious with a ligature in her head and believed he was taking part in some kind of internet challenge. Archie has not regained consciousness since being admitted to a hospital in East London.
