Rapper Drakeo the Ruler is feared dead after it was has reported he had died from being stabbed at the Once Upon A Time music festival in LA.
The Los Angeles music event took place at the Banc of California Stadium in Exposition Park with the line-up including Snoop Dogg, 50 Cent and Ice Cube.
The 28-year old was stabbed at the backstage around 9pm and was rushed to hospital where he was in critical condition.
What happened to Drakeo the Ruler?
The music star was billed to perform on the night before the incident happened.
An insider claimed that the rapper, real name Darrell Caldwell, was ‘pretty badly hurt’. Drakeo’s friend and collaborator Desto Dubb, who was at the festival, asked fans to pray for the rapper, writing in his Instagram stories: ‘If you love Drakeo. Get in ur hands & knees & pray He Make it.’
Why was Drakeo the Ruler stabbed?
It has been reported he got stabbed following an altercation but it’s unclear why Drakeo the Ruler was targeted in the attack. Just last year, Caldwell was acquitted of felony murder charges, though the rapper eventually plea deal with Los Angeles County prosecutors over conspiracy charges related to the slaying.
How is Drakeo the Ruler is doing now?
He was taken by ambulance to a nearby hospital, according to Margaret Stewart of the Los Angeles Fire Department and he is currently battling for his life.
