Kurtis Eugene Warner, an American former quarterback who spent most of his time with the Arizona Cardinals and St. Louis Rams in the National Football League (NFL), was born on June 22, 1971.

One of the greatest Cinderella stories in NFL history, his career saw him go from undrafted free agent to two-time Most Valuable Player and Super Bowl MVP.

Kurt Warner signed a futures contract with the St. Louis Rams in December 1997, at the conclusion of the Rams’ regular season. He was sent to play for NFL Europe in February 1998, when he joined the Amsterdam Admirals.

In terms of throwing yards and touchdowns, Warner was league-best. He rejoined the Rams when he came back to the country and moved up to third-string quarterback behind Steve Bono and Tony Banks. Warner played just one game with the Rams in 1998, finishing with four completions for 39 yards.
