Why did Petyr Baelish marry Sansa Stark to Ramsay Bolton in ‘Game of Thrones’?

Littlefinger had Sansa marry Ramsay Bolton as proof that Lord Bolton had abandoned the throne. The fact that Ramsay Bolton is married to the heir to Winterfell grants them legitimacy in the North. By doing so, they constituted themselves an enemy of the crown, rendering them vulnerable

I believe he intends to get rid of Roose Bolton and Ramsay. Once the Boltons are gone, Sansa becomes the lady of Winterfell, and he can manipulate her and even marry her if he dares, and he will be ruler of Winterfell and the Vale, giving him the power to challenge the crown.

But I didn’t imagine he’d know Sansa would go to Jon to reclaim Winterfell. When Jon was anointed King of the North instead of Sansa, his intentions backfired slightly.

He attempted to destroy their love, but Jon fled Winterfell for Dragonstone, leaving Sansa in command. He continues to try to influence her and her friendship with Arya, which ultimately lead to his demise.
