Johnny Depp is gearing up for a comeback to the big screen following a rocky divorce from Amber Heard over domestic abuse charges.
Depp is set to play King Louis XV in French filmmaker Maiwenn’s forthcoming film, Variety reports.
Johnny Depp is presently suing Heard for £39 million after she claimed to be a victim of domestic abuse in a newspaper story.
In 2020, Depp lost a UK High Court case against The Sun when a judge ruled that we were justified to label him a wife abuser.
She has, however, countersued him for £77 million in response to charges made by his counsel about her.
During the trial, Depp claimed that Heard used his past trauma with his mother, Betty Sue Palmer, to verbally demolish him.
