Celebrated Nigerian actress Ini Edo confirmed rumors that she had a baby through surrogacy. The actress was widely reported in the media d to have welcomed a baby via surrogacy.
Ini Edo, however, denied reports that the father of her baby is a married man called Kome. She claims Kome has been her friend for a very long time and he remains as such.

Why did Ini Edo welcome a child through surrogacy?
Explaining why she opted for surrogacy, Ini Edo revealed that she chose that path to fulfill her dream of becoming a mother because she wanted her and the baby’s peace of mind.
“Yes I do have a daughter and I had her through surrogacy. The eggs are mine and so genetically, she’s my blood,” she said as quoted by Punch NG.
“I chose this path to fulfill my dream of becoming a mother. I still have a good number of eggs frozen in case I decide to do surrogacy again or carry my baby myself”.
Ini Edo went on to add that, “I had a series of miscarriages in the past but that wasn’t my reason for going this route. I still hope to carry babies In my womb in the future, God willing.”
She is yet to reveal the identity of the child to us.
