There was a young quarterback for the Buffalo Bills who needed assistance. The 2020 transaction that sent Stefon Diggs and a seventh-round pick to the Bills in exchange for four draft picks made sense in every way.
Who won the Diggs trade?
The Minnesota Vikings traded standout receiver Stefon Diggs to Buffalo before the 2020 NFL Draft in exchange for the No. 22 overall choice, which the Vikes then used to select LSU wideout, Justin Jefferson. Both teams benefited greatly from the transfer.
Diggs has excelled in Josh Allen’s offense, receiving a league-high 413 targets, 3,617 yards, and 25 touchdowns. Jefferson, meanwhile, had a record-breaking rookie season and currently leads the NFL with 3,883 yards and 20 touchdowns since 2020.
There is respect shared between the two wide receivers ahead of the Vikings and Bills game on Sunday, which will be Diggs’ first encounter with his old team. You won’t be able to avoid seeing other players when you’re one of the top receivers in the league and performing at a high level.
