Mike Bossy was a Canadian former professional ice hockey player who played his entire National Hockey League career for the New York Islanders.

He was said to be one of hockey’s most prolific goal-scorers and a star for the New York Islanders.

He was born in Montreal, Canada to a Ukrainian dad, Borden Bossy, and an English mom, Dorothy Mills Bossy on January 22, 1957.

Unfortunately, the former professional ice hockey player has passed ways after battling lung cancer. The Hockey Hall of Famer Mike Bossy revealed his lung cancer diagnosis in October 2021.

Mike Bossy died on Thursday, April 14, 2022, at the age of 65.

The sad news was confirmed by the Islanders and TVA Sports, the French-language network in Canada where he worked as a hockey analyst.

Mike was from a family of 10 siblings and happens to be the fifth son among the 10 children of his parents.

Who were Mike Bossy’s linemates?

Bryan Trottier and Clark Gillies were his linemates who were at the center and left wings respectively with the Bossy at the right wing.
