The internet-famous ‘I Go Meow Cat’, also known as Cala, captured the hearts of over 900 thousand TikTok followers and 478 thousand Instagram fans with her adorable singing videos.
This beloved feline went viral in April 2024 after a video shared by her owner, Elizabeth Toth, garnered over 30 million views on TikTok.
The video showed Cala appearing to sing the words “I Go Meow”, which quickly grabbed the attention of social media users.
Popular musical group The Kiffness even sampled Cala’s viral moment, creating a collaboration that has now amassed over two million views online.
Sadly, on May 30, 2024, Elizabeth announced the passing of Cala at the age of 12. In a heartfelt video shared on social media, she expressed her devastation at the loss of her beloved cat.
Cala had initially been thought to be much younger, but tests revealed that she was older than originally believed.
Despite medical efforts, Cala did not recover from her illness and ultimately passed away in Elizabeth’s arms.
