Patrick Sellers is an American basketball coach and former player.

At CCSU, Sellers started his collegiate coaching career in 1999. The Blue Devils won 81 games overall and went 57-19 in Northeast Conference competition during his four seasons at Central, winning two regular season championships.

Between 2004 and 2010, Sellers worked as an assistant coach for the men’s basketball team at the University of Connecticut.

Sellers attended UMass from 2003 to 2004. He then worked at Hofstra University from 2011 to 2013, where he served as interim head coach in 2013.

He visited Creighton University (2013–15) and DePaul University (2015–17) during his two visits to the Big East.

From 2017 through 2019, Sellers played two more seasons in the NEC for Fairleigh Dickinson University. The Knights made it to the postseason and split the regular season championship.

In 2019, he visited Fairfield University, which was his most recent tour. He assisted the Stags in reaching the MAAC Tournament title game in 2020–21 and helping them to consecutive seasons with double-figure victory totals.

Sellers is a native of South Carolina and a recent accounting graduate. He was a team captain and the defensive player of the year in the East Coast Conference in 1991 while competing for CCSU.

Before beginning his teaching career, he played professionally for three seasons in the British Basketball League.

He is currently the head coach at Central Connecticut State University.

His wife Pat died from cancer per reports.She was diagnosed with stomach cancer in 2009.
