Yulia Antonovna Putintseva is a professional tennis player from Kazakhstan who was born in Russia.

She has three Grand Slam quarterfinal appearances and a career-high singles ranking of world No. 27 in February 2017. She has won two WTA Tour singles championships thus far.

Yulia Putintseva was born to Anton and Anna Putintseva, and she has an older brother named Ilya. She was born in Moscow and now lives in Boca Raton, Florida. Her father exposed her to sports.

She enjoyed it and was soon practicing at Moscow’s Spartak Club. After winning a major Under 14s tournament, she relocated to Paris to join Mouratouglou Academy. Her preferred surface is clay, and her favorite events are the Australian Open and the US Open. Martina Hingis and Justine Henin were her tennis inspirations.

She also likes singing, dancing, music, Sudoku, playing cards, and chess. She represents Kazakhstan as of the beginning of June 2012.

Putintseva began her season in 2022 at the Australian Open. She lost in the first round against Harmony Tan, who was ranked 42.

She competed in the Dubai Tennis Championships in February. Markéta Vondrouová beat her in the last round of qualifying. Despite holding a match point in the third set, she lost in the first round against 12th seed and two-time winner Victoria Azarenka in Doha.

She was knocked out in the second round of the Indian Wells Open by 31st seed Viktorija Golubic.

She advanced to the third round of the Miami Open, where she was defeated by fifth seed Paula Badosa.
