Daniel Vacek, a former tennis player from Czechoslovakia who started professional in 1990 and retired in 2003, is Tomas Machac’s coach. The 50-year-old reached a record-breaking 26th place in the international singles rankings.

With different partners, the right-hander won 25 career doubles titles, including the US Open in 1997 and the French Open in 1996 and 1997.

He reached the fourth round in both the New York and Wimbledon singles main draws in the Grand Slams, which was his highest point total. Over his singles career, he completed with a win/loss record of 176 victories against 225 losses.
