NFL safety and linebacker Landon Alexander Collins was born on January 10, 1994. He plays for the New York Giants (NFL). At Alabama, where he played collegiate football, he was a member of the squad that prevailed in the 2013 BCS National Championship Game. During the 2015 NFL Draft’s second round, the New York Giants selected him. During his time with them, Collins was selected for the 2016 All-Pro Team and participated in three Pro Bowls. The Washington Redskins football team is another team for which he has played.

Collins, a native of New Orleans, Louisiana, spent his formative years in the Algiers district. Collins and his family had to evacuate the city in the wake of Hurricane Katrina in 2005, and they eventually made their way to Geismar in Ascension Parish.
