American politician and attorney Frank Caprio was born on November 24, 1936, and held positions as chairman of the Rhode Island Board of Governors for Higher Education and chief judge of Providence, Rhode Island’s municipal court.

The television program Caught in Providence airs his judicial work. In addition, he has judged multiple traffic infraction cases during his appearances on the television show Parking Wars.

Caprio attended Providence public schools while working as a dishwasher and shoe shiner. He won the state wrestling championship at Central High School in 1953. He earned a bachelor’s degree from Providence College.

After graduating, Frank Caprio began teaching American government at Hope High School in Providence. While teaching at Hope, Caprio attended night school at the Suffolk University School of Law in Boston. As a result, he decided to pursue a career as a lawyer.

The well-known jurist talked about his battle with pancreatic cancer on Wednesday, December 6, 2023.

In a video shared to his over a million Instagram followers, Frank Caprio, the 87-year-old star of the reality show Caught in Providence, disclosed that he was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer, an aggressive variant of the illness.

“Here in Rhode Island and at the Dana-Farber Cancer Institute in Boston, Massachusetts, I’m receiving treatment from an amazing group of medical professionals. I implore God to direct their thoughts and hands in how they treat me.

Caprio asked his followers to remember him and to pray for him in the somber message.
