Tennessee Representative John Rose and wife, Chelsea, have a sweet love story to tell. Chelsea Doss Rose, born in Murfreesboro, Tennessee, is the executive director for the Tennessee FFA Foundation.
Chelsea is no stranger to hard work, having received her bachelor’s degree from Tennessee Tech University in 2012 and her master’s degree from the University of Tennessee in 2014.
Before joining the FFA Foundation, Chelsea was a national FFA officer in 2009 and was very active in the organization during her high school years. Tennessee Tech University recognized her as a trailblazer in the agriculture industry, describing her as “the fresh face of today’s FFA.”
John and Chelsea’s love story began somewhere along Chelsea’s journey with the FFA, where she credits John for her success in the organization. John’s support and scholarship allowed Chelsea to focus on her studies and FFA involvement without the need for a part-time job. He even coached her during her preparation for various activities.
The couple exchanged vows on January 8, 2011, at the First Baptist Church in Cookeville, Tennessee. Their union has been blessed with two sons, Guy, born on October 7, 2017, and Sam, born on March 23, 2021.
Guy recently stole the spotlight when he made goofy faces while his father was delivering a speech at the House podium.
John shared the hilarious moment on his social media, jokingly saying, “This is what I get for telling my son Guy to smile at the camera for his little brother.”
With Chelsea busy at work and caring for Sam, Guy will be accompanying his father for a few weeks.
