T.J. Holmes, 45, is the host of the afternoon show “GMA3: What You Need to Know,” which offers viewers daily updates on news, information, and human interest topics. Holmes also contributes to “Good Morning America” and a number of ABC News outlets.
Before joining ABC News, Holmes worked as a contributing anchor for MSNBC in 2013 and 2014 and covered the George Zimmerman trial for CNN’s Headline News.
The TV personality has served as a news anchor and correspondent for CNN from 2006 to 2011.
Holmes is a member of the 100 Black Men of Atlanta and the National Association of Black Journalists. He also sits on the Chancellor’s Board of Advisors at the University of Arkansas and the Board of Visitors at Emory University in Atlanta.
