Steve Braddock, Arsenal’s top groundskeeper, died at the age of 58 after a long illness.
Braddock was well-known for his work on the Highbury turf before moving to the Emirates. He also worked on the 11 pitches at Arsenal’s training facility in London Colney.
He shared his knowledge with other groundskeepers and was mentored by Arsene Wenger in North London. Braddock looked up to the legendary Arsenal player as a father figure, and the two remained close friends until his death.
