Shania Twain was born Eilleen Regina Edwards on August 28, 1965, in Windsor, Ontario. She was one of three daughters born to Sharon and Clarence Edwards and has two sisters named Jill and Carrie Ann.
When she was just two years old, her parents got divorced, and she went to live with her mother. Her mother remarried Jerry Twain, who adopted her and her sisters and legally changed their surname to Twain.
