Rich McCormick, a US Congressman representing Georgia’s 6th Congressional District, recently filed for divorce from his wife of 12 years, Debra Miller. Debra is an oncologist, board-certified Medical Oncologist who has worked in Atlanta and North Carolina.
The couple has seven children and resides in Suwanee, Georgia. Rich, a decorated veteran and Emergency Room physician, served in the Marine Corps as a helicopter pilot, deploying to combat zones in Africa, the Persian Gulf, and Afghanistan.
Rich was elected to the House of Representatives in 2023 and serves on the House Armed Services, Foreign Affairs, and Science, Space, and Technology Committees. He is also a member of the Select Subcommittee on the Coronavirus Pandemic. Rich earned degrees from Oregon State University, National University, and Morehouse School of Medicine in Atlanta. During his military service, he taught at Georgia Tech and deployed to Kandahar, Afghanistan as the Department Head for the Emergency Medicine Department.
Despite their years of marriage, Rich and Debra have decided to part ways, with Rich filing for divorce and a mutual restraining order being filed as is standard in divorce cases. Debra, a respected oncologist, continues to work in the medical field as the process unfolds.
