Gage was married to Paxton Whitehead from 1971 to 1986. The reasons for their divorce were known to them alone. The two were married for 15 years. She had one daughter whose name was not found.
Unfortunately, Gage died from cancer in the hospital, on January 31, 2010, at the age of 69.
