Nick Watney is an American professional golfer who plays on the PGA Tour.
He broke into the top ten of the Official World Golf Ranking for the first time after he won the AT&T National, in July 2011.
In the same year, he achieved the highlight of his career through his victory at the 2011 WGC-Cadillac Championship.
No good golfer is complete without an equally good caddie. This article will focus on Watney’s caddie, one of the greats, Tony Navarro.
Who is Nick Watney caddie Tony Navarro?
Tony Navorro is a known name in the caddie world, as the man even got an opportunity to caddie for Tiger Woods himself.
His first time as a caddie for a pro was at his hometown Quad Cities Open when he made a handshake deal with Slugger White, who, at the time, went by Carlton White.
Though they had and still maintain a good relationship, he made no money working for him. His first big break came when he caddied for Raymond Floyd. Similar to his time with White, the pair formed a close relationship.
Since then he has gone on to caddy for great players such as Ben Crenshaw, Hal Sutton, Jeff Sluman and quite recently, Nick Watney.
