The current manager of Championship team Huddersfield Town is English football manager and former player Neil Warnock (born 1 December 1948).

He also works as a radio and TV commentator. Warnock has overseen sixteen clubs in his five-decade management career, from non-league to Premier League.

With eight promotions, he owns the record for most in English football. He also has the most games managed as a professional, with 1619, breaking the previous mark of 1601.

Warnock made 327 league games throughout the course of his playing career as a winger for Chesterfield, Rotherham United, Hartlepool United, Scunthorpe United, Aldershot, Barnsley, York City, and Crewe Alexandra, scoring 36 goals in all.

At the age of 30, he gave up playing in the league. He continued to play throughout the 1979–1980 season.

He unexpectedly returned to Huddersfield Town in February 2023, joining them on a temporary basis and helping them win promotion to the Championship.

After the campaign, he agreed to a one-year contract to remain with the team following Kevin Nagle’s purchase of the organization.
