Muddy Waters was an American blues singer and guitarist who lived from April 4, 1913, until April 30, 1983.

He was a significant player in the post-World War II Chicago blues scene and is frequently referred to as the “founder of modern Chicago blues.”

Who is Muddy Waters wife Geneva Morganfield?

Morganfield was his wife for quite a long time before she passed away in 1973 from cancer. Waters passed away at his home in Westmont, Illinois, from complications related to his cancer aged 70.

His funeral was attended by a sizable number of blues performers and admirers at Restvale Cemetery in Alsip, Illinois. He is interred close to Geneva, his wife.

Following his passing, a protracted legal dispute erupted between his heirs and Scott Cameron, his former manager.

His heir asked the courts to designate Mercy Morganfield, his daughter, as an administrator in a petition filed in 2010. The estate was successfully reopened after the petition was granted.
