Leslie Lloyd Odom Jr., born August 6, 1981, is an American singer and actor.

He made his Broadway debut in 1998 and rose to notoriety as Aaron Burr in the musical Hamilton, for which he won a Tony Award for Best Actor in a Musical and a Grammy Award for Best Musical Theater Album the same year.

Odom was born in the Queens borough of New York City. His father, Leslie Lloyd Odom Sr., worked in sales. His maternal great-grandfathers were from South Africa and Bridgetown, Barbados, respectively. Odom’s family moved to the East Oak Lane area of Philadelphia, where he grew up.

Who is Leslie Odom Jr. wife Nicolette Robinson?

Robinson was born in Los Angeles, California, on April 18, 1988, to a Jewish mother and an African-American father. She has remarked that her family “resembles the United Nations.”

Robinson majored in musical theater at the University of California, Los Angeles. She was a member of UCLA’s Awaken A Cappella and received the Gant Gaither Theater Award from the Princess Grace Foundation-USA while in school.

The Jackie Robinson Foundation also provided Robinson with a scholarship. Robinson married actor Leslie Odom Jr. in 2012, whom she met in 2008 while auditioning for a role in the Los Angeles production of Once on This Island.

Odom worked as the associate director of Once on This Island before going on to play Aaron Burr in the Broadway musical Hamilton.

Because Robinson would be filling in for an actor who had departed the production, Odom was entrusted with making sure she fit right in. After the show’s run finished, the two began dating.

The couple welcomed their first child, a daughter called Lucille Ruby, on April 23, 2017. In November 2020, Robinson and her husband revealed that they were expecting their second child, a boy, in March 2021. Their son, Able Phineas, was born on March 25, 2021.
