Kwasi Kwarteng is a British politician. He is UK’s first Black chancellor. Kwasi is also the author of several books on politics and the British Empire.
He wrote a book, Ghosts of Empire, about the legacy of the British Empire, published by Bloomsbury in 2011. He also co-authored Gridlock Nation with Jonathan Dupont in 2011, about the causes of and solutions to traffic congestion in Britain.

Who is Kwasi Kwarteng’s father Alfred K. Kwarteng
Kwasi Kwarteng’s father Alfred K. Kwarteng is an economist who works in the Commonwealth Secretariat. Alfred left the shores of Ghana in the 1960s as an immigrant to the UK. As a Ghanaian immigrant in the UK, Alfred is now a citizen of the UK hence, holds British nationality.
Though the public has no information about the exact date of birth of the politician’s father, Alfred is believed to be in the 70s. He is married to Charlotte Boaitey-Kwarteng, who is a barrister in the UK.
Alfred and his wife Charlotte gave birth to their only son on May 26, 1975, in the London Borough of Waltham Forest. They named him Kwasi Addo Alfred Kwarteng. Before Kwasi became a member of parliament, he worked as a columnist for The Daily Telegraph and as a financial analyst at JPMorgan Chase and other investment banks.
