Valieva, who is making her Olympic debut, is the youngest competitor competing in the Beijing Winter Olympics.
In her first performance on February 7, she established three world records: short program, free skate, and total score.
The Russian skater also made Olympic history by being the first woman to do a quadruple leap successfully.
Valieva has been training since she was a child at Moscow’s Sports School of the Olympic Reserve, often known as Moskvich.
Her latest drug-testing incident is likely to cost her the coveted Olympic gold medal.
