Judge Judy is an American arbitration-based reality court show presided over by former Manhattan Family Court Judge Judith Sheindlin. The show featured Sheindlin as she adjudicated real-life small claims disputes within a simulated courtroom set. Before the proceedings, all involved parties signed arbitration contracts agreeing to Sheindlin’s ruling. The show aired in first-run syndication. As it was during its active years in production, it continues to be distributed by CBS Media Ventures in syndication, now in reruns that still draw notably high ratings.
Who is Judge Judy’s ex-husband?
Ronald Levy is the ex-husband of Judy Sheindlin. The two met in 1964 and got married. The couple leave happily together and their marriage was blessed with two children, with Judy putting her budding legal career on hold to become a stay-at-home mom. But when she chose to return to work, Ronald reportedly did not support her and viewed her job as a “hobby and there came a time where I resented that,” Judy told Fox News.
The pair divorced then end up their marriage after about 12 years and Judy later met Jerry Sheindlin in 1976 at a New York bar.
