An American wrestler named Dustin Patrick Runnels was born on April 11, 1969. Under the ring name Dustin Rhodes, he now wrestles for All Elite Wrestling (AEW). Most notably, he was known as Goldust throughout his various WWE runs from 1995 to 2019.

He is from a second generation of wrestlers and is Cody Rhodes’ half-brother as well as the son of WWE Hall of Famer Dusty Rhodes. Additionally, he is well recognized for his involvement in Total Nonstop Action Wrestling and World Championship Wrestling  (TNA).

Under the guise of Dusty Rhodes Jr., Runnels toured Japan for All Japan Pro Wrestling (AJPW) in its annual Champion Carnival in March 1989. In the spring and summer of 1990, he returned to AJPW for ten and twenty-day tours.

In July 1989, Runnels began wrestling in the United States Wrestling Association (USWA). He mostly feuded with Tony Anthony for Anthony’s CWA Heavyweight Championship, although he never won it. In the spring of 1990, he departed the USWA.
