Who is Duane ‘Keffe D’ Davis? Man charged with murder in Tupac Shakur shooting

Duane Keith “Keefe D” Davis, a citizen of the United States and a member of the South Side Compton Crips gang located in California, was born in Compton on June 14, 1963. He played football with Suge Knight when he was a kid.

Davis, an old buddy of N.W.A. frontman Eazy-E, is suspected of having a hand in Tupac Shakur’s murder. Sean “Diddy” Combs and Davis became good friends in the early 1990s. Davis alleges that Diddy hit Tupac and Suge Knight for $1 million in 1996, which led to Tupac’s tragic injury in Las Vegas later that year.

Despite rumors from fans and other parties that Davis and his nephew Orlando Anderson were engaged in the assassination, Detective Tim Brennan from Compton, California named them as suspects in an affidavit. Both have never been accused of the crime; Anderson passed away in a 1998 battle involving a gang.
