Dr. Jennifer Ashton, the Good Morning America co-anchor, has found love again after her divorce from the late Dr. Robert Ashton. She tied the knot with American TV producer, sports executive, and businessman, Tom Werner.
Tom Werner, born on April 12, 1950, in New York City, is known for his investments in Fenway Sports Group. He currently serves as the chairman of both the Boston Red Sox and the Liverpool Football Club. A Harvard University graduate, Tom has had a successful career in television since the 1970s when he began working in prime-time development on the East Coast.
In 1980, Tom co-founded The Carsey-Werner Company, where he became an executive producer for popular TV shows like That 70s Show, The Cosby Show, Roseanne, and A Different World. In 1996, he was inducted into the TV Hall of Fame for his contributions to the industry.
Tom also ventured into sports investment in the 1990s, leading to partial ownership of the San Diego Padres, Boston Red Sox, and Liverpool FC.
Jennifer and Tom got married on November 6, 2022, in a New York City wedding ceremony. Speaking about their relationship, Jennifer expressed her happiness at finding love again, describing Tom as her soulmate. The couple was introduced by mutual friends in 2021 and got engaged on New Year’s Eve of the same year.
