Hollywood actress Emma Stone is living happily ever after with her comedian beau David McCary.
The Hollywood couple duo also proved they’re more than just romantic partners with the launch of their production company in 2020.
Who is Dave Mccary?
Dave McCary, born on July 2, 1985, is an American comedian, director, and writer who grew up in San Diego, California. While attending the University of Southern California, McCary lived with his childhood friend, comedian, and former SNL cast member Kyle Mooney.
From 2013 to 2019, McCary worked as a segment director for Saturday Night Live. McCary is also known for being the co-founder of the sketch comedy group Good Neighbor alongside Mooney, Beck Bennett, and Nick Rutherford.
In 2017, he directed the comedy-drama movie Brigsby Bear, produced by The Lonely Island. McCary and Stone’s production company, Fruit Tree, signed a two-year first-look TV deal with A24 in August 2020.
Fruit Tree has produced movies including When You Finish Saving the World and Problemista. The company is also producing The Curse, a satirical black comedy series starring Stone, Nathan Fielder, and Benny Safdie.
Sources confirmed that McCary and Stone had gotten married. The couple welcomed their first child, Louise Jean McCary, on March 26, 2021. As of February 2024, the couple do not have any other children.
McCary and Stone reportedly began dating in July 2017 and got engaged on December 4, 2019. The couple was set to wed in March 2020 but had to postpone their plans due to the Covid-19 pandemic. Eventually, they tied the knot in a private ceremony in 2020.
