Many people assumed the mother was a surrogate who was paid to keep her name hidden.
However, it has come to light that Cristiano Ronaldo Jr’s biological mother was a waitress.
According to rumors from 2009, the then-Manchester United star went to a New York restaurant and had a one-night stand with one of the waitresses.
The news of her pregnancy initially reached Portuguese stars agent Jorge Mendes, who informed Ronaldo, who later revealed the issue to his family and gained their support.
After DNA tests and a few formalities, Ronaldo was convinced he was the father and decided to offer the mother a deal in which she would receive an undisclosed fee (rumored to be more than $10 million), Ronaldo would have full custody of the child, and the mother would not be allowed to reveal her identity or contact the child in the future.
Ronaldo stated on an episode of the talk show “Jonathan Ross” that he will not reveal his son’s mother’s identity just because people want him to; instead, he will wait until his son is of appropriate age.
