Charles Allan Hill, a stand-up comedian, and actor from the Oneida Nation of Wisconsin passed away on December 30, 2013. His birthday is July 6, 1951.

He provided writing for the Roseanne television program. The first Native American comic to appear on television was him.

In 1977, Hill made his network television debut on The Richard Pryor Show. His appearances on Late Night with David Letterman, The Tonight Show with Jay Leno, and The Tonight Show with Johnny Carson were also many.

Hill was chosen three times to host the Hollywood First Americans in the Arts awards presentation. In the past, he hosted events alongside the Oneida musician Joanne Shenandoah. He gave stand-up comedy performances all around the world and frequented The Comedy Store in Hollywood.

Hill hosted a Showtime comedy program with Native American comedians and had numerous television appearances. He was a subject of Sandra Osawa’s 1999 PBS film On and Off the Res with Charlie Hill.
