Who is Cecelia Jeffries, Jared Jeffries’ mother?

Jared Jeffries didn’t always think he’d play in the NBA. He stated, “Playing basketball was always something I just did. “I wasn’t in love with it, per se,” she said.

He replied, “About my sophomore year (of high school). I genuinely believed I could play basketball and earn a living doing it. It was a little unexpected for his mother Cecelia Jeffries as well. I never once imagined that’s what he’d do, she said.

She has always known that he enjoys playing, but she never imagined that one day he would represent Indiana in college basketball.
