The Moody Blues keyboardist, Mike Pinder, may have passed away, but his legacy continues through his three children.
Born in Wimbledon, London on November 23, 1971, Daniel Pinder followed in his father’s musical footsteps and has co-produced and edited music for various film and TV scores.
His work on projects like Thor: Ragnarok and The Falcon and The Winter Soldier has earned him a nomination at the 2021 Primetime Emmy Awards.
Mike’s other two sons, Michael and Matt, also pursued careers in music and perform as the rock duo, The Pinder Brothers, in Sacramento, California.
Influenced by their father’s work with The Moody Blues, as well as bands like Crosby, Stills & Nash, and Simon & Garfunkel, the duo continues to make music that resonates with fans.
Mike passed away at the age of 82 on April 24, 2024, at his home in Northern California.
His family announced his peaceful passing, stating that his final days were filled with music and surrounded by the love of his family.
They described Mike as someone who lived with childlike wonder and a deeply introspective nature, leaving behind a legacy of profound lyrics, philosophy, and vision that will inspire generations to come.
