Lucy Letby is a British serial killer and former neonatal nurse born on January 4, 1990.

She killed no fewer than thirteen babies in her care between 2015 and 2016, murdering seven of them.

Letby as a nurse who has worked at Chester’s Countess of Chester Hospital since 2011, was apprehended in July 2018 in relation to a string of exceptionally frequent child deaths that occurred between June 2015 and June 2016.

Lucy was detained again for her involvement with ther infant deaths at the hospital in June 2019 and again in November 2020 after being freed on bail. She was accused with eight murders and ten murder attempts the day after her last detention.

Letby’s motivation for the killings is still unknown, but the prosecution made numerous hypotheses throughout her trial was wild and shocking.

Some included boredom, the fact that she got a thrill from the circumstances surrounding the deaths, and the fact that she liked playing God.

In an interview with BBC Panorama on Friday, she asserted that despite the murderous nurse’s conviction for killing seven babies and attempting to kill another six, all of Letby’s friends were still standing by her.
