A Houston police department spokesman confirmed to Variety that Takeoff, one-third of the hip-hop group Migos, was shot and killed in the city. He was 28.
This Tuesday, at 2:30 a.m., the rapper was shot and killed while playing dice with his uncle, another Migos member Quavo, at a bowling alley in downtown Houston.
According to authorities, there was a crowd of roughly 40 or 50 people present at the time of the event, and a man was injured in the head or neck. Takeoff was pronounced dead at the scene, but Quavo was unharmed.

Takeoff was pronounced dead at the collision site around 2:30 a.m. shooting. At 10 a.m., more than seven hours after the shooting, an Associated Press reporter witnessed a body being loaded into a medical examiner’s van.
A police official stated that security workers in the area heard the shooting but did not see it. According to a spokesman for 810 Billiards & Bowling, the shooting occurred after the bowling alley had closed, and the facility is cooperating with police.
