A Houston police department spokesman confirmed to Variety that Takeoff, one-third of the hip-hop group Migos, was shot and killed in the city. He was 28.

This Tuesday, at 2:30 a.m., the rapper was shot and killed while playing dice with his uncle, another Migos member Quavo, at a bowling alley in downtown Houston.

According to authorities, there was a crowd of roughly 40 or 50 people present at the time of the event, and a man was injured in the head or neck. Takeoff was pronounced dead at the scene, but Quavo was unharmed.
