Elizabeth II (Elizabeth Alexandra Mary; 21 April 1926 – 8 September 2022) was Queen of the United Kingdom and the other Commonwealth realms from 6 February 1952 until she died in 2022. She was queen regnant of 32 sovereign states during her life and served as monarch of 15 of them at the time of her death.
At the time of her birth, most people did not realize Elizabeth would someday become the queen of Great Britain. Elizabeth, nicknamed Lilibet, got to enjoy the first decade of her life with all the privileges of being a royal without the pressures of being the heir apparent.
Which church did Queen Elizabeth II attend?
The queen is Anglican in England and Wales and Presbyterian in Scotland. She attends the local church when she’s at Balmoral or Sandringham, but at Windsor, she has her chapel.
The Queen has several residences Buckingham Palace, Windsor, Sandringham, and Balmoral so the physical church depends on where she is in residence. As the Queen is the head of the Church of England she attends Church of England services but then it gets complicated in Scotland and Wales
