Linda de Suza, born Teolinda Joaquina de Sousa Lança, was a Portuguese Lusophone and Francophone singer, actor, and best-selling novelist who died on December 28, 2022.
Linda de Suza was born in Beringel, Beja, a municipality in southern Portugal (Alentejo). Suza migrated to France from Portugal in the 1970s and began working in low-wage jobs.
In the late 1970s, she was able to record music albums. Tiroli-Torola, The Weeping Girl, A Child Can Change the World, and The Stranger were all well-liked films in France. Her triumph was highlighted by her performance at the Paris Olympia.

Linda de Suza’s autobiography, La Valise en Carton, was published in 1984. ( The Cardboard Suitcase ).
The book was also published in Portugal in the same year as A Mala de Carto. Her book was followed by more novels.
In 1988, La Valise en carton was transformed into a miniseries for the big screen. All of them were successful.
