Adam Rich passed away on Saturday. He was an actor best remembered for his role in the ABC comedy Eight Is Enough. At 54 years old, he was.

The news was confirmed by family members to TMZ, although they withheld the cause of death. Though no foul play is believed to have occurred, the actor was reportedly discovered dead at his house.

Rich appeared in 112 episodes of Eight is Enough as Nicholas Bradford, the youngest son. Dick Van Patten, Betty Buckley, Grant Goodeve, Lani O’Grady, Laurie Walters, and others co-starred in the five-season drama, which aired from 1977 to 1981.

At Chatsworth High School, he studied drama under a teacher who also instructed Kevin Spacey and Val Kilmer.

Rich’s other TV appearances, in addition to his major role on Code Red, include small roles on The Six Million Dollar Man, The Love Boat, Fantasy Island, CHiPs, Silver Spoons, St.

Elsewhere, Baywatch, and Small Wonder. Rich left the industry in the early ’90s, though.

Along with his Eight Is Enough co-star Willie Aames, he also made appearances in child commercials for Betty Crocker and Nabisco and did voice acting for Dungeons & Dragons.

The actor attempted to steal medicines in 1991 and was caught after breaking a drugstore window. Van Patten, his TV father, saved him at the time.

His final place hasn’t been revealed by the family at the moment.
