Ramin Djawadi, an Iranian-German film score composer born on July 19, 1974, is most known for penning the music for the critically acclaimed HBO series Game of Thrones as well as the Marvel films Blade: Trinity, Iron Man, and Eternals.
Among the other movies he worked on were A Wrinkle in Time, Pacific Rim, Westworld, Gears of War 4 and 5, Medal of Honor, Open Season 1 and 2, Jack Ryan, and Warcraft. He received two Emmys for his work on Game of Thrones.
Ramin is the first television composer in history to tour the nation exclusively performing music from the Game of Thrones television series with a full orchestra. Ramin earned praise from critics, musicians, and viewers throughout his time on the show, but the season 6 finale of The Winds of Winter is when his career really took off.
He won his first Emmy in July 2018 for the Game of Thrones season 7 finale. He won a second nomination that year for a Westworld episode from the second season. For the next season in 2019, he won his second Emmy, and for each of those seasons, he was nominated for a Grammy.
