Nellie earned her famous “Nervous Nellie/Nelly” nickname due to her timid nature when interacting with the suspected predators. Her true name is unknown due to her requesting to remain anonymous. She had THREE predators attempt to hug her, those being Jeff Sokol, John Dupee, and Vincent Ambrosio. When John Dupee tried to hug her, Nellie immediately leaves the room for Chris Hansen to come in. She has described the Male HvP Decoy as looking younger in person than he does on camera.
“Nellie” was recruited as the female decoy for the Fairfield, Connecticut, sting because she was a theatre student from a nearby college. She proved herself as an exceptional decoy, able to adapt on the fly and engage with the predators far longer than most decoys before her. Chris Hansen described her as “a gutsy and confident decoy.” Nellie was the only female decoy present for the HvP stings, meaning she dealt with all of the men that came to the sting house looking for an underage girl.

According to the search, nothing is known about what happened to Nellie following her appearance on HvP, but it can be safely assumed that she excelled in her education and graduated college. Chris stated that he has attempted to reach out to Nellie for an interview on his “Predators I’ve Caught” podcast, but no agreement has been finalized at this time.
