Lynda Lopez is a writer and journalist from the United States who presently resides in New York City. She was born on June 14, 1971. She co-founded Nuyorican Productions with Benny Medina, an American production company that debuted in 2006 with the release of South Beach.
Lopez was raised by his Puerto Rican parents, David López, a computer specialist, and Guadalupe Rodriguez, a kindergarten teacher, in the South Bronx borough’s Castle Hill neighborhood. Her two older sisters are actress and pop artist Leslie Ann and Jennifer.
The Bronx native Lopez attended both elementary and high school there. After graduating from Preston High School in 1989, she enrolled in the C.W. Post Campus of Long Island University and majored in media and communications.
Lopez has anchored numerous media organizations. In 2020, Lopez’s book AOC: The Fearless Rise and Powerful Resonance of Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez will be published by St. Martin’s Press.
An on-air and on-screen personality named Chris Booker dated Lopez. They originally connected while co-hosting the morning show at WNEW-FM in New York City at the start of 2002. The pair split up at the start of 2005. Together with her ex-boyfriend Adam Goldfried, Lopez gave birth to daughter Lucie Wren Lopez-Goldfried on August 28, 2008.
