Lana Penner-Tovey was a co-founder and board chair of Zing! Children’s Choir and she has long been a member of Elektra, the award-winning women’s choir. Lana’s husband, Bramwell Tovey, is a music director. She was Bramwell’s second wife. Their two daughters are Jessica and Emmeline.
Bramwell Tovey, the internationally acclaimed conductor who was about to begin his first season as the Sarasota Orchestra’s music director and was in charge of the group’s plans to construct its music center, has died. He died on Tuesday night, one day after his 69th birthday.
