Bob Weinstein was born in Flushing, New York, on October 18, 1954. He is the junior brother and business partner of the convicted sex offender Harvey Weinstein.
In addition to co-founding Dimension Films with his older brother, Harvey, he also served as co-chairman of Miramax Films and The Weinstein Company in the past.

His senior brother’s trial and subsequent conviction as a sex offender, it tanked the company they formed together. It was not wholly his big brother’s fault.
Bob was also accused of the same sex assault charges. A former worker of the Weinstein Company, Amanda Segel, accused Bob of sexual harassment.
According to her Bob allegedly made inappropriate advances towards her in June 2016 and continued for three months.
Even though the allegations did not stick like that of his senior brother, they badly affect the company he co-founded with his brother. After years of laying low, Bob is currently trying to revive his business with a new company he is setting up.
