The well-known composer Ramin Djawadi was born on July 19, 1974, in Germany. A German mother and an Iranian father presided over Djawadi’s birth in Duisburg, Germany. Prior to selecting to continue his career at the Berklee College of Music, he completed his high school education at the Krupp Gymnasium in Duisburg, West Germany.

A few years after earning his degree from the Berklee College of Music in Boston, Massachusetts, he wrote the music for movies including Beat the Drum and Thunderbirds.

With Blade: Trinity, a script he co-wrote with RZA for director David S. Goyer, Djawadi made his solo debut in 2004. His collaboration with Goyer in both film and television began with this.

The following year, Djawadi continued to provide Zimmer with extra music for films like Batman Begins and The Island; this was his final instance of supporting another composer. He also created the Emmy-nominated main title themes and music for the shows Prison Break and Breakout Kings in the same year.

Goyer’s 2009 Michael Bay-produced horror film The Unborn features a score by Djawadi. In that same year, Djawadi and Goyer worked again on the television program FlashForward, which led to his second Emmy nomination.
