Meet Omid Djalili, a 57-year-old, Iranian-British actor, comedian, and writer, was born on September 30, 1965, in Chelsea, London England.

Omid’s first significant stand-up comedy performance was at the Edinburgh Festival Fringe in 1995, where he performed the “Short, Fat Kebab Shop Owner’s Son,” and then “The Arab and the Jew” with Jewish comedian Ivor Dembina in 1996.

Following that, he has performed in numerous countries, including Australia, Ireland, Sweden, Belgium, Canada, and the United States, where he had his own HBO Special. He recently starred in the Netflix Global drama The Letter for the King (2020) as Sir Fantumar and the HBO/BBC series His Dark Materials (2019).

Omid Djalili lives in Suffolk County. He lives in the Christchurch Park area of Suffolk.  He has revealed in an interview that Suffolk is his home, and he would die there he would be happy. In his words, he said; “Suffolk is definitely my home. If I was to die here, I’d be happy.”
