British-Nigerian actress and businesswoman Reanne Weruche Opia was born on April 11, 1987. She is the company’s first CEO and the founder of Jesus Junkie Clothing.

For her work in the BBC miniseries I May Destroy You, she received a British Academy Television Award nomination (2020).

Opia, who was raised in Lagos, relocated to South East London at the age of 13. Her mother is a seasoned Nigerian broadcaster and television host named Ruth Benamaisia-Opia, while her father is an author and professor of social sciences. Opia graduated from the Bristol’s University of the West of England with degrees in sociology and theater.

In the June 2020 premiere of Michaela Coel’s BBC series I May Destroy You, Opia played Terry Pratchard. Opia received both a Black Reel Award and a British Academy Television Award nomination for her performance. She made a cameo in the ITV suspense drama Our House in 2022.
