Troy Andersen, a linebacker for the Atlanta Falcons of the National Football League, was created on April 23, 1999. Andersen grew up on his family’s cattle ranch close to Dillon, Montana. He went to Beaverhead County High School, where he participated in the basketball and track teams in addition to playing quarterback and safety for the football team.

Senior quarterback Andersen ran for 877 yards, threw for 1,403 yards, and scored 30 touchdowns while leading Beaverhead to the Class A state title. He also made 71 tackles on defence, along with three interceptions and two fumble recoveries. At quarterback and safety, he was named to the first team all-state team, and in Montana, he was named defensive player of the year.

Andersen started each game as a linebacker and running back as a true freshman, earning him the title of Big Sky Conference Freshman of the Year. He racked up 515 yards rushing and five touchdowns. Additionally, he hauled in seven catches for 45 yards and a second score.
