Tre’von Moehrig-Woodard was born on June 16, 1999, in Spring Branch, Texas. He attended Smithson Valley High School in Spring Branch, Texas, where he played cornerback for the Rangers. In addition to football, he also ran track for the Rangers.

Before his senior year started, he made his commitment to play college football at Texas Christian University in Fort Worth, Texas. He announced his decision via his Twitter account.

As a true freshman for the TCU Horned Frogs in 2018, he transitioned to safety. As a sophomore in 2019, he became a full-time starter and finished second on the team with 4 interceptions and 62 tackles.

After this season, he was named 1st team All-Big 12. In addition, before his junior season in 2020, he was named as the top defensive back in Texas by Dave Campbell’s Texas Football.
